The above stats are from Lake Magog Campground and includes whole trip. For camp to The Tower it will be 15 km in dist. and 950 m in ele gain.
There is no trailhead on this one, however it doesn’t mean there is no trail. The best way to get to the trail is go off-trail at Wonder Pass (GR988388). The trail goes down from this point so stay and traverse on sidehill of The Towers’ shoulder which start with grassy hill then becomes bouldering field. After 10 min or so bouldering becomes scree. Look for the biggest rock you can find in this scree slope, the trail starts just above the rock (page 2). I guess because it is bouldering trail is unable to grow. The trail traverses east slope to the top of the SE ridge. Near the ridge top, the trail fades but it will be visible once on the ridge again. Keep going up and moderate scrambles start in last 150 m elevation. As long as stay on the trail, there should be no problem to get to the summit. Enjoy impressive pinnacles on the way.
For descent we went down the same way until SE ridge. From there we decided to explore the area and went down west side of the ridge towards Gloria Lake. A valley between The Towers and Terrpin Mountain was so beautiful and peaceful that I recommend you should check it out too. We tried to go up to a small nub, SW of Terrapin but the terrain became little too much to handle for Aga we turned back. So we went back to the valley. I spotted a trail below treeline from a stream. Instead of go up and down on SE ridge again, we decided to aim the trail hoping this unmarked trail on the map would take us to wonder pass and it did… Yay!!

On the way back we found easy steps rather than what Aga is doing. Well well well what can I say, I am good at finding the safest and easiest way... ヾ(・ε・。)

Watching big birds fly like this one is amazing even though knowing that flying is what birds do…

I was too far ahead of Aga and missed this… but she took a picture of a fossil of alien. So they do exist!
