This trip was solo. But wasn't just solo trip. I decided to solo in a winter evening hike.

Lucky me, sheep or deer broke trail for me for some distance.

Rock slab at at at… peak 2 or 3. I don't remember.

Looking at peak 4. It's far and drops quite a bit. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

09

Sulphur Mountain | 2009-11-08

It has been cold and windy. Last 4 hikes has been -10 C or colder and wind has been constant 30 km/h or way worse. Yet some reason last 4 hikes has been longer than 8 hours. I don't know why I am doing this…

Finally at peak 4. One thing I realized, despite of this long ridge walk, the view didn't change much. Usually long ridges like this offer different sceneries, but this one got only one… Darn it stupid Mount Rundle why do you have to be so long!! Anyway the true summit is the one in the center of this picture... That like a totally separate mountain... Who was in charge of naming mountains around here, what a sucker!! Mount Rundle should be broken down into 4 peaks. This mountain should be broken down into 3 mountains. Sundance range doesn't even have a named peak!!

Before sunset I thought I should take picture of myself.

Snow covered ridge is very pretty.

Sulphur Mountain | 2009-11-08

Before I lose light I wanted to get the summit so that I can backtrack by following my foot steps and GPS track in dark. I accomplished that just in time. The true summit right there.

Going back in dark. Banff town's light below.

Sulphur Mountain | 2009-11-08

4 sec shutter speed with slight sun light left worked well. I was hoping I will see bright moon light but moon never came out and because of that once I lost sun light, there wasn't enough light to take white mountains in dark. Too bad that was my purpose doing this evening hike.

Accidental photo turned out to be a cool picture. I came back to my car at 10 pm.
