Having GPS doesn't mean never get lost. If you don't check your GPS you can go wrong ways… That what happened. By the time I realized we were 2 km off route and had to go back almost the beginning. We gained and lost 300 m elevation hahahahaha.
Now back on the right way. This mountain reminded me of Moose Mountain.
Plateau Mountain on the center and our descent ridge route on the right.
Once on the ridge, it became easier because no longer had to deal with snow, on the other hand it became windy. Summit is in sight. Even though the left peak seems lower than the right peak in this picture, the left peak is the true peak.
There were 2 sections where it got ridgy. This was the first section.
I spotted two of them first. Then there were tree. No no there were four. Then we saw like 20 to 30 of them run away from us created a line of sheep on top of ridge.
At the cairn 1. The difference between here and summit is 1 m according to my GPS.
Right after the cairn. Kept going towards the peak and beyond.
Pasque Mountain had ridgy ridge than we expected. Fun fun.
Dry condition preferred as these green rocks tend to become slippery when they are wet.
At the summit. The left ridge is our ascent route and the right ridge is our descent route.
The last group picture with Mark, the boss. From left me, Shaun, Mark, then Ali.

Panorama of entire ridge up to this point.
Plateau Mountain. Its top is so flat almost makes me think somebody had cut the top off with a giant saw.
We followed a route from "Ridgewalks in the Canadian Rockies" by Mike Potter. In his book he says this route is 4 to 8 hours. I don't think you can do this in 4 hours. NO WAY!!
Left is High Rock Range, part of Great Divide. Right side is Highwood Range. The tallest mountain covered by snow and cloud in the center is Mist Mountain, I believe.
Getting to the end of the ridge. For Mark this was his last ridge walk in the Canadian Rockies and the last hike with us. The boss is leaving us and going back to UK. 。・゚・(ノε`)・゚・。
There should be a trail but we couldn't find it under snow covered condition. So we bushwhacked but ground was covered by snow and moss and it was steep. So we butt slide.
