At Lake Louise. Someone just bought a house. So Americans are right that Canadians do live in igloos.
Fairview Mountain. I don't recall it looks very impressive from this side.
Well I didn't plan to hike Mount St. Piran that day. In fact I was going for the Tower of Babel, but the road was closed for winter and I didn't check it. So I came here to find a place to go. Unfortunately map on the lake didn't show the trail to the peak, so I had to guess.
This is as far as the map showed and since trail is covered by snow, I had to find my own way. Looking at this, going straight up is possible if it was dry but it looks like avalanche path in winter. Going around right side was the correct way and I considered but I took the left side.
Big Beehive viewpoint. Mouseover to see lousy hiker's porch
This is where I gave up. It got progressively steep and snow was hard that I couldn't dip my feet to stabilize myself. Needed crampons.
Have to come back here another time. Not in summer though. There will be 1000 peeps if I come here in summer.
Lake Agnes. There is a tea house here.
This economy is hurting Canadians. She can't afford to buy a jacket.
