Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. On the way up, we missed the trail and went off route (South route is correct route). I suggest to walk left side of the creek near where my map says trailhead and seek for 3 cairns. The creek is wide if you walk middle or right side, you will easily miss the trail.

Only two weeks later we were back at Upper Canyon Creek, but this time our aim was Mount Bryant. Bryant is the mountain on the right.

We missed trail entrance… At this point it wasn't too bad. We knew the trail was less than 100 m away.

Later on we paid the price missing the trail. Hummm where are my snowshoes?

Getting closer to the unnamed lake at the bottom on Mount Bryant. This might be another place it might be pretty in summer.

The day started out mostly clear sky, but as the day went on it overcast and then started snowing.

Then even worse, it became a snowstorm. I can barely see Andrea who was only 20 to 30 m ahead of me. I guess this is just another day at my office.

Struggled through ascent we finally made to the summit.

I found it odd that even though we were at the summit, there were higher peaks only less than 1 km away connected by this ridge. Andrea was probably looking for a shelter from wind and snow.

We couldn't find better shelter. My office is cold in winter.

We didn't stay too long at the summit and went back. Only 10 minutes after we left the summit, sun said hello to us. So we were at the wrong place at the wrong time. As we went out of protected area from wind by surrounding mountains, we got hit by the snowstorm and stayed up there as long as the storm was there. We came down to the protected area again then the storm was gone...

Anyway all of us were still happy to see sun and clear sky. Picture time!!

We had a lunch break at the bottom instead of at the top.

At the end of the day, at the end of hike. Ali looked for his missing sunglasses which he lost two weeks ago…

A long story. Two weeks ago when we came here to do Mount Howard, we met Allan. I immediately recognized him from his website (link to his site). So I posted a comment on his site then someone posted another comment saying he knew me and he took a picture of me and posted the picture from Mount Tyrwhitt's window. Then someone else was talking about doing Mount Howard the same day we did Mount Bryant. As the parking lot for both mountains are the same, I was expecting to see other car. When we arrived parking the other party was already gone, but we ended the say at the same time. They asked "You must be So." Among them I also recognized a person, but I thought he can't be Vern, Vern Dewit, the man who owns one of the most established website of the Canadian Rockies. But I was right, he was Vern. Here is his website link. He is also a good photographer, check out his gallery too. (Link can be found at right top corner) Vern is the one with the white sunglasses.
