Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. We missed a turn and went wrong way. Don't miss waypoing "Left 2"

Bush here was absolutely terrible. I suggest to avoid bushwhacking as much as you can.
After terrifying bushwhacking finally we got out of trees.
Now we had to face with ankle breaking traps. The tall mountain in behind is Old Baldy Mountain.
Getting on top of ridge. Now we had to deal with cold wind.
All the obstacles weren't enough, we had to avoid sudden land subsidence.

Took us 5 hours to get to the peak. Far longer than I anticipated.
Weather was far better than weather forecast. We had a good use of a nice weather.
Group picture. From left, Mark, Christian, Ali, and me. It was the first time hiking with Christian. He is a faithful reader of my website and that how we ended up hiking together. He posted his video from the summit in YouTube.

The ridge continues to the real summit of Mount McDougall.
Some interesting low clouds formed over the mountains on the other side. This picture is one in million. Look low clouds and Mr. Bean in the same picture!!
Going back. Mountain on the left is Wedge. Could have seen the Fortress and other mountains but they were covered by clouds.

We aimed the creek opening. The descent route was far better than our ascent route.
