Above stats is from Sk5 Hidden Lake campground. From Skoki Lodge parking, add 15 km (return trip) and 550 m elevation.
I am a morning alien and like to start day early, but I was with lazy butts, I decided to go to morning hike myself before they wake up and get ready. The obvious choice I had was a short hike to Hidden Lake.
The trail was clearly established from the campground but I managed to get lost and instead I was heading to Ptarmigan Peak. However I quickly corrected my route and soon I arrived to the lake. Despite of detour, it only took 25 minutes and I wasn’t going to go back to the camp yet. So from the lake, I hiked up a hill towards Ptarmigan Peak, and kept going to east until I arrived at Ptarmigan Lake. After a few photo shots, I went back to the camp taking Boulder Pass.
