Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. We intentionally went bushwhacking and off trail. My GPS data is no use if you are looking for a trail.

Snowshoeing at popular Chester Lake. The first time this season for me and for Ali it was the first time snowshoeing.
See so many people. This is only the half of the cars at the parking lot. Wil, the crazy old guy, was also here but I didn't know he was doing x-country on the same day. If I knew beforehand, I would have destroyed all x-country trails for him.
Instead of following the already pounded snowshoe trail, we decided to go off trail.
Open meadow and Mount Chester.
Aga coordinated this trip for us. I have hiked Cascade Mountain with her before.

There is no comparison in amount of snow between here and 20 km up North or 10 km to East. So much snow around here.
This picture would have been a very nice one if Ali's head wasn't on the way. Boo!! Here comes my summer plan. Gusty Peak to The Fortress traverse. Also Chester Lake to Mount Chester to Headwall Lakes traverse.
I made this snowflake by spitting. Just joking.

Lake wasn't frozen as hard as I thought it would be. Underneath the snow, it was slushy.
Sun is so low. Soon Sun only go as high as Sun at 4 o'clock in Japan.
Philip and Aga fighting in snow.
Skyscrapers of K. Country.

A moose appeared at the parking lot and she decided to occupy the rest room. Dude we need to drive back please move away from the rest room!
