Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. There is a parking right at the Cameron Lake however the load was closed for winter. So I had to walk additional 3km to the lake from the closest parking.

Heavily snow covered mountain. I don't know the name of the mountain since it is in US and I don't have US Topo map to look up.

It was my first time to hike in Waterton Lakes National Park. Here is an interesting thought. In Canadian side, this park is called WATERton, in US side, it's called GLACIER park. Humm I guess Canadian's standard, able to walk on the lake in April isn't cold enough to call this park glacier park.

My original plan was to hike Mount Carthew. I made a commitment that I don't want to carry snowshoes at the parking lot so I didn't. Unfortunately I needed them… So I decided to just hike around the lake. The reason why I bought the lightest snowshoe is that I would not think about not carrying them when I need them, isn't it? Oh I'm so dumb.
