We had an unhopeful weather forecast, but since we already paid money for the bus and Abbot hut, we had no choice. Shaun and I headed out to Lake O'Hara to attempt Mount Victoria, south peak. Our bus was little too early so we decided to do a short hike, the All Soul's Prospect Alpine route. Then we went up to the hut only to spend time inside.

We missed the trail. I guess no one was doing All Soul's Prospect and couldn't tell where the trail starts from the main trail.

We took gully east slope to descent. It was really good soft scree. Took no time to get to Schaffer Lake.

Our plan was to wake up at 5:00 am and see the condition. There was another party and they planed the same. The next morning, the alarm went off at 5, but it was apparent from inside sleeping bag that the strong wind didn't die down. So I assumed we would sleep in and not attempt Vic which is what the other party did. They didn't even bother waking up. But not Shaun. He still woke me up at 5 and told me to catch 9:30 bus... (T_T)
