On the way to Tokyo from Nasu. I took a fast train. It cracked 239 km/h. Slightly slower than my top speed skiing down at Mount Hector.

Haneda airport in Tokyo. Heading to my grandmother's place in Kagoshima. There are 4 main islands in Japan. Kagoshima is very south of the 4 islands.
Kagoshima Bay. I love taking this ferryboat.
The reason why I love taking this ferry is for this!! Udon noodle, yum yum & sweat sweat…
Iconic mountain in Kagoshima, 桜島 (Sakurajima). This is an active volcano. Lots of ash, cars are dirty like cars in winter in Canada.
I love to live in this ferry. That haven't changed since childhood. I don't know why…
While other parts of Japan were still under rain season, rain season in southern Japan including Kagoshima was officially over. Look at beautiful sky!
Waiting for my aunt to pick us up. I was wandering the bay.
This is where I used to play with my cousins. It looked much bigger when I was a child, this must be caused by earthquakes.
32° + humidity inside grandma's house. I sweat more just sitting than while I run in Calgary.
Hummm nothing have changed in grandma's house.
Went for a run. Intended to go to beach but I guess I took a wrong turn.
At 7 am, I came back from run, my parents and aunt was already working on making parking lot under 27 °
Next day, this time I made it to the beach.
Typical country side view. If you are wondering, it is rice field. Rice grow in pond.
My parents, aunts, and grandma.
Haneda Airport was so dark, because they set the lights dim and air conditioner wasn't strong enough it was warm. As many of you know, the earthquake damaged nuclear power plants. I didn't know also some other nuclear plants (at least one) which are technically fine but have not restarted due to the safety concern. Thus, Japan is not having enough power right now. Everywhere I go there is always save electricity slogan on TV shows, ad, posters, etc. In order to save some energy people are trying not to use air conditioners, if they do use it set the temp high. Stores and public facilities are not using all the light. Some vending machines were turned off. Companies are shifting lunch break hour and working days in weekends to split electricity demands. New goods in stores and tips from media to help saving energy. News reporting electronic usage everyday. Reducing trains in day time. New laws are in effect... I guess that earthquake did shook Japan little more than usual.
