February was a wonderful month to ride bike to commute because the time I ride was the time sun rises and sets. It is very beautiful.

Waiting for Spring

It's time to workout and work on my body line for bikini before spring comes.

Sophie and I went for a ride. It was a wonderful spring day.

Mount Yamnuska

Went to Mount Yamnuska. Spring hiking is always fun because there is much snow to deal with.

Mother's Day

I visited Crowsnest Pass. It's Mother's day and I had a very very very special present for Stella.

My Car

Finally I bought a car. 2007 Dodge Caliber, this is my new kickass car.

Grotto Creek

Two years ago I climbed Grotto, this time I went to Grotto creek to have some fun. My original plan was to ride bike as far as I can then switch to hike and climb up a mountain.

Old Goat Glacier

Small glacier near Spray Lakes, but as early as I went, it wasn't a small glacier. It was a huge dump of snow area between deep canyons.

Alberta

I fell off from bike and hurt my knee. I couldn't go hike for a while, so instead I drove.

Polskies 1

Polish relatives came to visit Canada. I was worried that these Polish would drink every single drop of alcohol in Crowsnest Pass.

Polskies 2

Polish visitors were in Crowsnest Pass. It had been a week since they were here. I was surprised the liquer stores still had vodka in stock.

Rawson Lake

My injured knee's back and I went to hike Rawson Lake. It locates at popular Kananskis Lakes, and because of that a lot of people come hiking here.

Laragh's 1st Birthday

Laragh's first birthday. First birthday cake, first birthday presents, and first step. 29 more birthdays you won't be celebrating birthday, kid.

Moose Mountain

After Rawson Lake hike, my knee felt good and decided to go easy mountain hike this time. Moooooose!

Mount Indefatigable

This was the official kick-off of summer mountain hiking. Mount Indefatigable locates at Kananaskis Lakes which offers wonderful views no matter where I was.

Summer Vacation

I took a week off for summer. Polish family was visiting Crowsnest Pass, so I went there to spend some time.

Dakota Plane Crash

Famous plane crash site near Crowsnest Pass. I have been there 12 years ago, but never been there by bike.

Thunder in the Valley

The biggest event in Crowsnest Pass, The Thunder in the Valley! Oh boy oh boy, there were so many people.

Table Mountain

This mountain is some what famous because of its unique shape. Literally "table" describes the mountain very well.

Mount Sparrowhawk

One of the tallest mountain I have hiked in Canadian Rockies. Despite of heavy smoke in the air, the view was terrific.

Middle Sister

Trace, Kevin and I hiked Middle sister, the one of the famous Three Sisters in Canmore.

Banded Peak

30 years of waiting is over, Kevin finally hiked Banded Peak with me. View from the peak was super, one of the best views I have seen.

The Tower Attempt

Even though this officially unnamed mountain is in the popular book, not too many people hike this one.

Mount Temple Attempt

The third tallest mountain in Southern Canadian Rocky Mountain, Mount Temple.

Little-Big Elbow Loop

A famous mountain bike trail in Kananaskis, Little-Big Elbow Loop. It's over 45km long.

Spionkop

A book says Spionkop is one of the finest trail in the Castle. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to go all the way but it was still enjoyable.

Ha Ling Peak

Short hike to Ha Ling Peak. My objective here was to beat every one on the trail. I don't mean throwing fist.

Beside Hiking?

I have been hiking pretty much every weekend, but there were other things I did this summer and fall.

Turbine Canyon Campground

The first backpacking in 11 years, I went to Turbine. Three day camping trip was more than I expected.

North Kananaskis Pass

Part of Turbine camping trip. The most beautiful place I have ever seen. I call this place heaven on the Earth.

Haig Glacier Ski Camp

Part of Turbine camping trip. We visited Haig Glacier ski camp where Canadian national cross country team train in summer time.

Mount Baldy

Kevin's one of his favorites, Mount Baldy. We went there very early and it was cold until we reached close to summit where we saw sun.

South Buller Pass

Maybe I went there little too late. The view would have been better if it was pure green like in summer.

Heart Mountain Circuit

A popular mountain near Canmore. It's easy and quick yet I enjoyed scramble and ridge walking.

Sky

To Mount Allan and beyond. I met nice people at the trail and we hiked together.

Back to Japan

Back to Japan at the right season. Not too hot, not too cold. Too cold? There is no such thing as too cold in Japan.
