ABOUT SOISTHEMAN
Hi, my name is So Daniel Nakagawa, AKA soistheman!
I was born on July 22nd, 1977 in Japan. I grew up in Japan throughout my childhood, and adolescence,
but there was a life changing event stroke me. Going to Canada. I left Japan for the first time on May 23rd, 1996.
Since then everything had changed. In my twenty’s I move back and forth among Japan, Canada, and USA.
Currently I live in Calgary, Canada. I am an IT guy doing Programmer/DBA.
MY INTERESTS
Mountains
Outdoor and nature. Something I deeply and truly love. I love being in mountains and true nature.
I love the Rocky Mountains. I love the feeling of freedom and calmness which endlessly come from the mountains.
Being as one with nature is the moment I can truly appreciate my life.
NASCAR
The greatest form of racing in my opinion. No other racing is as exciting yet no other is as complicated and technical as stock car racing.
I watch NASCAR racing every weekend when there are races. Like my roommate once said, you can call me weekend redneck.
soistheman.com
I don’t know how many of you actually know and remember when I started making my website.
soistheman website was started in 1999 and slowly but surly expanded to current site.
I spend a lot of time to update and add contents to my website. This website is the way I let people know
how I am doing since I don’t email or call people.
MY GREATEST MOMENTS OF MY LIFE
Taku and Nezu
Takuya and Nezuka were my best friends in junior high. Three of us together felt like there was nothing could stop us.
Brochure
Getting this brochure about study abroad in Canada from my high school teacher was the beginning of my real life.
If I wasn't paying attention to my teacher that day, my life could have been so boring.
Crowsnest Pass
Crowsnet Pass is a small town in south Alberta in Canada. But this town is a full of nature and mountains.
I have lived there for one year. This was where I found the true meaning of my life.
1998 Daytona 500
When the NASCAR legend, Dale Earnhardt Sr. finally won the Daytona 500 for the 20th try, I was in front of the TV crying for final five laps.
Mailroom
I used to work at the mailroom in my college in USA. This was where I found most of my dearest friends.
25th birthday
I am not a big fan of birthdays especially now that I am getting old, but my 25th birth day was different.
There were Todd, Bridgett, and Cedar celebrating my birthday for me. It was a very very special day to me
