Skoki Ski Lodge | 2011.04.03

I signed up for CSMC’s Skoki trip coordinated by Tom. First time I visited Skoki was a long weekend backpacking in last summer which weather wise totally sucked. It was just above 0 degree and there was maybe total of 2 hours of sun in entire 4 days… So I was super pleased it was sunny this time. Like me who grew up in Japan knows after typhoon there will always be a spectacular sunny day. This Sunday was just like that kind of spectacular sunny day.
Skoki is such a popular place to be whether in summer or winter or right at the end of the world (I can see millions of people rushing to Skoki when Earth is breaking into pieces), I am not going to describe route since it's so obvious except 1 part. Right after crossing ski runs (waypoint “Right”), there is a small sign pointing to trail to Skoki Ski Lodge. I thought the sign itself isn’t obvious enough there is a chance you will miss it if you are not paying attention especially wide groomed road from the parking lot still continues.
I brought AT for this since that’s all I have but many people come here with x-country I found out. Which is nice because that means more people can enjoy this trip.
