Pocaterra Ridge South Peak | 2010.11.28

By ignoring Kerry V’s generous advices on Rocky Mountain Books' forum I couldn’t wait and decided to take my new AT skis to the mountain!! (Sorry Kerry) So I picked south peak of Pocaterra Ridge. Since everyone seems to go there and the winter gate will be closed in two weeks, I thought it would be a good choice.
I parked at Highwood Pass parking area. From there simply followed a trail to the summit. Well that was super easy route description! But it’s true, there weren’t much of route-finding at all. Only thing that is hard here is the first part where you need to somewhat bushwhack. In summer time it’s easy to follow trail but in snow condition, people tend to go everywhere.
