Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. I used north ridge to ascent and then get on to northeast ridge which Nugara's book describes due to avalanche condition.

Pink line is the actual track I took which was recorded by my GPS. I used north ridge to ascent and then get on to northeast ridge which Nugara's book describes due to avalanche condition.
The day started with the steepest hill right after trailhead.
Avalanche slope. Both routes described in Nugara's book go up this slope. So I had to go straight to the north.
View from north ridge. Right side is Mount Rowe.
This is northeast ridge after a short detour and no more view (ρ_;)
The crux. Moderate scramble but it was very difficult because rock was covered by slippery icy snow. This was only the part required scramble.
I was little uncertain if this was the summit as you can see I couldn't see anything. It's funny I was looking at bobspirko's web page and I was like 'ohhhh.. Ohhhhhh!!' because their pictures are nothing like my pictures. It's like they were hiking on pretty & ever so green Earth and I was hiking on harsh & cold Neptune or something.
Northeast and north ridge.
I am going back to Earth.
Weather improved little. Mount Carthew.
