Crowfoot Mountain and Bow Lake.
Crowfoot Mountain and Bow Lake.
The reflection was so beautiful.
Mount Athabasca at Columbia Icefield.
Right behind of Athabasca is Mount Andromeda.
Athabasca Glacier. This is where you can take tour with huge bus if you pay at Columbia Icefield centre. You can actually walk on the glacier this way without any gear.
At the centre, another panorama of Columbia Icefield and mountains.
If you are cheap like me you can still drive up closer to the glacier and walk 5 minutes to get here.
Weeping Wall right beside the highway. This cliff is 300m high.
Mount Amery. Surprisingly that is the only mountain with official name.
Rollover to see mountain names.
Couldn't find a good place to take a panorama picture that can contain both this picture and previous picture.
Waterfowl Lakes and Mount Chephren.
Crowfoot again. This drive was from hiking at Tangle Ridge near Columbia Icefield. It took me 3.5 hours to get the ridge and I did 5-hour hike. I was at the car at 4:00pm. I came home at 10:30pm, I had to stop there here there here over there right there to take pictures, took 6.5 hrs lol. Icefield Parkway, what a beautiful highway that is.
Ice on all other lakes were melted but not on Bow Lake. I think Wapta Icefields just South of Bow Lake was keeping the lake cooler.
Famous 10 peaks at Moraine Lake. 8 of 10 peaks are shown here.
